Where's Antz, Megamind, Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run, and Turbo (Theo)? Heck this is a racing game, Turbo should be here as their animated movie were all about racing.

Thanks for listing all of the previous games, we own whichever one came with the green steering wheel on the Wii. I’ll say Madagascar. And this game looks like a port of a GameCube game, so I think I came out ahead.😂

@Serpenterror Dreamworks don't own Wallace and Gromit, that's Aardman Animation. Megamind is there in one of the screenshots.

That Donkey screenshot is looking brown, but elsewhere things were looking brighter, so I'll remain optimistic until the review that inevitably reveals the game is poorly optimized for Switch and has limited content without additional purchases.

I'd sure like to see more racing games that aren't kart racers. I mean more stuff like motorstorm, split second, jak X, blur or vehicular combat like twisted metal and wwe crush hour

I have a sneaking suspicion it's gonna go as well as Nickelodeon All Star Brawl, but NGL if this includes shows some Kipo and/or She-Ra characters would make me consider it.

I just need to know if it will have voice acting included. It wasn't until the third Nickelodeon Kart Racer's game that they finally included it.

Mario Kart set the bar high. Pretenders can't even get close; but that's just my opinion. My love of Mario Kart goes beyond the cool characters that drive the karts, the game plays sooooo well compared to any other Kart game.

I had the DreamWorks racing game on 3DS and literally only played it once. The game ran at like 15 frames a second and was unplayable. Not expecting too much from this, but I'd like to be wrong. With Mario Kart still getting DLC, Disney Speedstorm going F2P in just a couple months, and the fact I already own two Nickelodeon Kart Racer games as well as Crash Team Racing and Team Sonic Racing, this is not a high priority for me. Definitely not a day one purchase lol, but I'll probably get it eventually when it's on sale if the game is halfway decent.

Also, it looks like the online may be limited to just friends and not randoms, which is gonna significantly lower the replay value if that's the case. Although I'm doubtful the online community would thrive for very long, anyways.

@Serpenterror Gonna have to nerd a bit, but Gromit and Wallace is an Aardman property. DreamWorks only distributed and co-produced a single Gromit and Wallace movie, and DreamWorks Animation is really only used as a label in this instance, as it was distributed by what was at the time DreamWorks Animation's parent company, DreamWorks Pictures.

Oh and DreamWorks Pictures and DreamWorks Animation are currently separate companies with both still operating. DreamWorks Pictures existed first, but because DreamWorks Animation is much more well known, they currently own the DreamWorks name under their CURRENT parent company, Comcast/NBCUniversal, but DreamWorks Pictures ISN'T owned by Comcast and is still independent.

So you're welcome for DreamWorks lore nobody asked for!

@epicgamner Really, for these kinds of games, I like playing as my favorite character. It's one of the things that I like about cart racers in general.

@HotGoomba ngl, it always throws me for a loop when I see a live action movie have the DreamWorks logo. I keep forgetting there's a studio that's not tied to the animation studio.

@PepperMintRex Actually, finding out it was Game Mill has restored my faith. Their production value is always pretty cheap, but Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 is a solid racing game with enjoyable mechanics that make it stand out from other games in the genre. They basically took the spirits from Smash and put them in a racing game instead of a fighting game by giving you a customisable "pit crew" of around 100 Nickelodeon characters. It makes way more sense here than in Smash. Like if people cared enough, there's enough depth to have a whole meta of the different combinations. Kart Racers 3 had an even better character selection but was admittedly a step back and, unless they've patched it, struggled to run on Switch. Hopefully this game won't suffer similar performance issues.

@sikthvash Dude, a track where you drive through ancient Egypt and cross the Red Sea would unironically be sick. Including a prophet would probably be considered offensive to Muslims, but I'd be down for a playable Ramses on his chariot instead. I know this was a joke, but I genuinely want this now, lol.

I'd like to take this moment to say The Prince of Egypt is a cinematic masterpiece and the greatest animated movie of all-time. I don't think you even have to be religious to appreciate it. The late 90's-early 2000's was peak animation in movies, before the CG boom took everything over. Would love to see a resurgence in hand-drawn art or the big screen.

I didn't even think about their animated series! Kipo has some of the most fluid animation and vibrant art I've ever seen in a cartoon. It's the same Korean animation studio that handled The Legend of Korra. And the music is such a bop! I thought season 3 was a bit weaker with a lot of kids' jokes that made me cringe, but still a great show overall. Being able to race as Jamac, Scarlemagne, and Wolf would be pretty sick, as well as a racetrack on the Surface.

I follow the guy who made the show on Twitter, and he and I had like an hour-long chat in the DM's, so that was pretty surreal. It wasn't about the show, but about how he thinks religion is a cult and that I need to un-brainwash myself, so that was a thing. But I won't elaborate any further on that, lest I upset the mods. It definitely gave me a lot of mixed feelings, though. It's like, on one hand, I'm honored someone of your stature is going out of your way to talk to me. But on the other hand, while I guess you mean well, it's not really your business to try and convince me my world view is wrong/bad. I'm sure he'd find it rude if I did that to him with my agenda. It was really weird.

Cleopatra in Space is another DreamWorks series I started watching recently. I've seen about 6 or 7 episodes, and while I want to finish it, I'm finding myself cringing constantly at the jokes. Definitely seems like they were targeting a younger demographic; I would have probably loved the show if I was aged 6-10, but even as an animation buff, it doesn't really do enough to hold my attention as an adult. I felt the same way about Nickelodeon's GlitchTechs. Which is a shame because I think the premise is awesome and really love Cleo's character design. Maybe it will pick up; the series isn't super long. Would totally be down with having her as a playable character in this.

It looks like they only focus on their 6 biggest franchises at the moment: Shrek, Kung Fu-Panda, How to Train your Dragon, Trolls, The Boss Baby, and The Bad Guys. I hope we will see some forgotten ones such as Madagascar and Rise of the Guardians.

I don’t even know what to expect from this, but I’m keeping a real open mind.

It would never happen, but I'd love to see an Eldorado race track with playable Miguel and Tulio, maybe they could share a kart that's based on their house Altivo
