I had a thought about something in the trailer, but I don't know if it counts as a spoiler, so I'm going to write it in as such. Since we know you can use the unforgivable curses, is it possible there will be an alignment system in the game? If there is, can you become a dark wizard/witch? Will there be a light version of it, or you'll just stay as a regular wizard/witch?
@Joeynator3000
I believe she is, but they're probably limiting her involvement and is only there to make sure they get the visuals, story, and lore to be accurate to the books. The developers have to make sure she doesn't causes more issues for anyone.
Well I'll take a look at the...whatever the video is called that Sony is doing, then. People are doubting the Switch version, which is funny...have they not seen the crap these developers have done? So what if it's not 1080p or 4K with 120fps, ray tracing, and super ultra deluxe HDR or whatever, lol.
But yeah...always thought it would've been fun to just be at Hogwarts, maybe have some action RPG stuff here and there.
Don't think I've played many HP games in general, back then I think I rented something on...Wii? I can't remember but it wasn't that great...my favorite was an RPG that was on the GameBoy Color I think. It was based on the first movie...book....whatever. lol

Keep it PG-13-ish.
Yeah, it makes sense if you can't just kill anyone you want. That could easily cause the age rating to go above the T rating, and I don't think the developers want to limit their audience range too much. Not just that, but it'll make the storytelling quite complex and the AI a huge pain to code around a game like this if it had an alignment system.
So far it's looking good but I don't want to get all.hyped up for it and then be disappointed at launch. If I do get it I will probably get it on Xbox. If the Switch version is good then I might get it on that too but I have been let down by Switch versions of games not running at optimal levels.

As some of you already know, there was new footage for Hogwarts Legacy released yesterday. If you haven't seen it, here's the trailer.
What does everyone think of it? Not only does the video show us that you can make choices, but also somewhat suggested that the game will have an alignment system like what people speculated in earlier trailers. If it is true, I wonder what they'll allow you to do.
I like the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I'm excited for the game. But like Marvel's Midnight Suns, who knows how long we'll have to wait after the Playstation and Xbox versions launch? Six months? A year?

Apparently the same developers who handled the Alan Wake Switch port are working on the Switch port of Hogwart's Legacy. Oh boy, yikes. DANGER WARNING DANGER!!!

@Magician They've done more than just that port so I wouldn't say danger. They're pretty decent at porting things and from what I've heard they were hired last second to help with ALAN WAKE.
The gameplay looks like way too much to run on the switch. While broom flying through the woods and when there's long draw distances, there's no way the switch can load the world & trees fast enough while traversing the environment at that speed. I think the compromises that the switch version will require will to run will have to be quite significant, no? Switch version would have VERY few trees, terrible pop-in, terrible looking trees, ridiculously short draw distance, or be cloud version. This game will have to be cloud, no? (Very cool looking game, so far, for other platforms)
I pasted the video to play at the start of woods flying section. Longer draw distances at 2:50+.
Hogwarts Legacy looks great, but the more interviews I see, the more I question the "no microtransaction and DLC" claims. The bonus preorder content, bits of gameplay, and answers given by the devs make me think they're not telling the full truth. I don't know if it's just me being paranoid, so I'm going to wait until reviews come out before determining that.

That flying exploration gameplay makes me doubt the Switch can properly play the game without knocking the visuals down by a good amount. PC is the definitive way to play HL.

@Octane ...At this point I don't even know, we haven't seen a single clip of the Switch version, kinda worries me. I know the Switch could run this, I really don't care if it's 720p, 30fps, and lowered visuals, as long as it runs smooth and stuff.

@Link-Hero : The Australian classification cites "in-game purchases".
This isn't necessarily indicative that there will be DLC/microtransactions, but the applicant would have at least made an admission that such material may be in the works.

@Sisilly_G Yeah, for US market, Splatoon 3's eshop page says "in-game purchases", and there's no micro transactions. At this point, I'm thinking maybe the in-game purchases may refer to buying gear & shellout machine capsules with in-game currency, which is not tough to earn.
