How about this oddity, Pokemon Pikachu and Pokemon Pikachu 2 GS? The interesting thing about these two is that they are virtual pets, kind of like a Tamagotchi. Their devices even look like a small Game Boy. These two should definitely be listed as virtual pets.

Pokémon Snap for on-rails shooter

That platformer category covers quite a lot of styles (single screen, 2d side scrolling, 3d, etc)
