As we get closer to the launch of Mortal Kombat 1 on 19th September, NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. have been sharing more trailers and details about this new entry, which resets the timeline.
In case you did miss it, here's a brief outline from the official Mortal Kombat 1 FAQ:
"The game will introduce a reborn Mortal Kombat Universe that has been created by the Fire God Liu Kang, featuring reimagined versions of iconic characters as they’ve never been seen before, along with a new fighting system, game modes, bone krushing finishing moves, and more."
The latest development is NetherRealm is now sharing some character profiles on its social media - outlining the history of each fighter in their reimagined form. Here are the ones released so far:
