Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 29th)

For the twelfth straight weekend since its release, I’m still playing Tears of the Kingdom and literally nothing else.

I’m not using any guides and simply having a fantastic time completing all the side quests and discovering everything above and below Hyrule purely organically. With that in mind, I’m now 215 hours in and 95 shrines and three temples down. Clearly, I’m really taking my time and am nowhere near ready to finish the story.

Considering I was one of the few Zelda fans who wasn’t particularly excited for Tears of the Kingdom in the run up to its eventual release, I’m overjoyed to have been so wrong about what is, for me at least, the finest video game ever created.

I'm on the third game of Ace Attorney Trilogy on the 3ds- This is my first playthrough and it's already one my favourite games of all time.
I'm also still chipping away at TOTK, admittedly slowly, but I'm enjoying nearly every moment

Just finished Inscryption. Man, what a fun, quirky, weird, special game this is. Heartily recommend, and try to watch/read as little of any game-related stuff as possible before playing as the constant surprises are half the fun.

I'm also playing Persona 5 Royal along with a bit of Super Mario Galaxy 2 😃

This weekend, will see another community day event in Pokémon Go, with Poliwag getting the spotlight treatment. Outside of that, both Oracle of Ages, as well as Oracle of Seasons were added to Nintendo Switch Online, so I'll probably check those out as well.

I finished FF16 this week. In the end I quite liked it. The cast of characters is great, the story and world was very Final Fantasy. And whilst a bit of a change, the combat was fun, if not a bit less expansive that I'd have liked. A solid 7/10 game.

Now I'm spending most of my time on Trails in the Sky FC. Just started chapter 3. Also continuing Act 2 of the Diablo 4 campaign. Contemplating taking something off the backlog too. Maybe Ryza 1 or Tokyo Xanadu eX+.

Probably going to be mainly focused on making my way through Zelda: Oracle of Ages (currently 3 dungeons down and having a great time), though I may also pepper in some Splatoon 3 (still have yet to test out the newest patch) and my NG+ run of Devil May Cry (currently on Mission 17 and it's fair to say my patience has been tested at points). Well I just managed to complete my playthrough of Vagrant Story yesterday, for my next game I'm currently considering stuff like Final Fantasy X-2, Suikoden Tactics, Halo 1 and Street Fighter 6, I donno for certain still what I wanna go for.

I've also been playing Death Road to Canada, an awesome rogue-like I discovered this week as my friend was visiting, still haven't managed to do a complete run but I've unlocked some stuff and it's been fun seeing all the weird events and obtaining all sorts of weirdo cameos. Amazing deal for the 5 bucks I got it for.

TotK, for perhaps the final weekend. Probably endgame today and messing around tomorrow.

I found the last two pieces of surface armour in the last two caves I discovered. What a pain. The Armour of Awakening was well worth the effort though 😂. I don’t think I’ll be tracking down the Depths armour after all.

I also finally completed every side quest. Finding the wells was faster than I expected since they’re mostly near roads. Taking out a King Gleeok was much easier than when I first encountered one thanks to fully upgraded Fierce Deity armour and Savage Lynel Bows.

I’ve upgraded half of my armour to level 3 and the rest to 2. The items I need to upgrade the rest to 3 are irritating (Lizalfos tails, large Zonaite, Frox bits, and Hinox guts) so I don’t think I’ll bother. Beedle saved me from hunting for insects thankfully. And rupees aren’t a problem once you know what to safely sell. A bit worse than BotW, but not egregious. Needing to hoard items for upgrading made me use fusion rarely, which is a pity since it's really cool.

I still have to complete the compendium, help Addison, collect monster medals, find 6 Sage's Wills, and collect 833 Korok seeds. I don’t think I’ll bother with any of that.

As with BotW remembering to take photos and buy insects as I go would avoid a bit of late-game tedium. I should've also kept a log of things such as where I'd found Old Maps, Sage's Wills, and Addison to let me easily mop up with a guide.

There're still so many little QoL things I'd like added to the next game whether or not it's the same type of game.

I wonder what I'll play next.

On Playstation 5 I will be continuing with Final Fantasy 16, currently 70% done and don't want it to end. I will also be playing Neptunia Sisters vs Sisters and Senran Kagura Burst Renewal for my anime fix 😂.

On Switch now that I've completed Kirby Return to Dreamland I can now start Pikmin 4 so I will be playing a lot of that this weekend. I will also be playing Rune Factory 5, hopefully I can complete the story soon as its starting to drag now, to a point where I'm not even farming anymore.

Well I took a break from Zelda for Street Fighter 6 (it’s cool), then Final Fantasy 16 (first time since 12 I’ve gotten to the end of an FF and said, “that was good,” though I eventually grew to love 15) then Diablo 4, but I’m at the point in Diablo where I remember it’s not actually fun, it’s just very effectively addictive (I’m not even through the campaign) so I might go back to TotK soon.

Surely Yooka Laylee, played it years ago and loved it and I'm doing a second run now. I want to replay Hollow Knight as well so if I end YL this weekend I'll start.
No backlog enough (oh the irony) to stop me from replaying some games I love.

I'm playing * Knights* (super fun rouge-lite) as well as Pokemon Blue Kaizo (difficulty rom hack for Pokemon Blue) I'm in Erika's gym and of course her gym trainers are packing Blastoise and Gyarados to ruin my day. I'm having so much fun with this game, honestly I thought it would have me beat by now, maybe I underestimated myelf.

I am cracking on with Chrono Cross on switch.
I also just finished Death Stranding on PS5 - I make a rotation between playstation, Xbox and polymega to make sure all my consoles get used - now playing Story of Thor 2 on Polymega - great game, really underrated compared to the MD original

If I can get the time, I'll be trying to finish up Nobody Saves The World. It's been fun for the most part, but the late game has required too much grinding, and now I'm starting to feel a little burned out. I'm in the final area though, so I may as well try to push for the finish line.

EDIT: There! I just beat it. A really good game overall, even though it's a bit long in the tooth.

After this, I'll have to make the decision to play Crosscode or SMTV. Or possibly a smaller game of a different genre, but I really don't know if I have a good palette cleanser on hand. I may play some Keywe with my wife, or Splatoon 2 with my kid, if anything.

I’ve bounced off FFXVI after a dozen or so very tedious hours so to get my JRPG fix I’m back on Dragon Quest V on a DSI I picked up this week!

I started up the new game plus for Trails from Zero and I'm also still busy with Pokémon Legends Arceus.. Both are fantastic games and highly recommended. Happy gaming anyone!

Ratchet & Clank: Rift apart on steam deck.

Geometry Wars: Galaxies on 2DS using the analogue stick and the stylus. I'm having a great time getting enough medals to access my favourite level near the end of the game.

I'm about to leave for a week long vacation and based on my post office tracking number there's probably a 50% chance I'll get Tunic before I leave. If it doesn't arrive I'll bring TotK and Pikmin 3 and focus on those games, but if Tunic comes all bets are off.

Beat Final Fantasy I, II and III last week on Switch without any knowledge about 2 and 3 and with minor knowledge about 1, alongside a replay of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and a blind playthrough of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intermission on Ps5.

Started Bayonetta on Switch which I don’t know anything about beyond having played chapter 1 and 2 on WiiU years ago.

Might start Final Fantasy IV after.

I'm playing Ys Origins at the moment. I'm really struggling with the second of the "beasts", though. I have found the other boss battles simple enough, but can barely get half way through his health bar before I die.
For less stressful gaming, I'm playing Windstorm: Start of a Great Friendship. It's a decent looking game in screenshots, but stutters at times, which is a shame.
Finally, I dug out my Wii yesterday and am playing through Geometry Wars: Galaxies.

Kind of stuck on the third phase of the penultimate boss of Huntdown when the giant snake starts some kind of bullet hell attack that always just brutally murders my character, so I started playing Trek to Yomi, of which I got the Deluxe physical version quite cheap. Also started Wuppo, but haven't really gotten into it yet (it's not exactly the Pikuniku I was expecting, but still funny).

Just done (nearly) 100%-ing Sakuna of Rice and Ruin, and I might start another game with a similar loop soon, perhaps Cult of the Lamb (I did Moonlighter already). Before that I 100%-ed Slaycation, a fun over-the-top top down twin stick shooter with a fun loop of constant progression in loot and upgrades, and some grinding in the actual game. Guess that's what they call "rogue-lite"?

Other than that, still so much to play... So many big titles I haven't even touched yet but do have in my collection, or big indie games I got dirt cheap and still need to start playing. It's not even funny, it's causing actual stress if I allow it to. And if I allow myself, I'd go to Deku Deals looking for more dirt cheap games and look for reviews to justify a purchase.

I finished Pikmin 4 earlier in the week (really enjoyed my time with it) so my focus this weekend will be MK8 Deluxe and either start FFX-2 or TotK. With the June Direct suggesting there's no sign of any TotK DLC happening it seems I've got until the Game Awards in December to beat TotK (no doubt it'll be nominated and win a lot and hence have loads of spoilers there) so I may play through FFX-2 first as that's quite a long time away.

Toyko Mirage Sessions #FE Encore

Started earlier this week and I'm already at chapter 4. The combat is aces in this game, as is the visuals and art style. The story is... grating. Not good, but the gameplay is so tight that I can't help but be immersed.

I’ll be heading to Vegas soon for vacation so for my flight I decided to bust out my PlayStation Vita this weekend and get a good start on The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II. I played the first one years ago and loved it, but I accidentally broke my handheld but never got around to playing the rest of the series despite owning a PS4 and now PS5.

I also picked up Gravity Circuit for the PS5. This game is rad. It’s essentially an ode to Mega Man X, only with this your combat is melee based rather than long range weaponry. It’s tough as nails, and I’m not entirely sold on the controls, but if you like 2D action platformers, this is a must play.

Well so far it's been Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Out Run, and Tetris 99. Hoping to get some Splatoon 2/3 action later, plus... haven't yet decided, so watch this space! But playing Out Run is making me want to bust out Super Hang-On on my 3DS too so I'm sensing a retro vibe.

I finished FE Engage last night, so I’ve been playing mostly A Link To The Past today.It’s my first time playing it, and while it’s very confusing, I’m loving it.
I did three of the Dark World dungeons this morning, and I’ve just started Pikmin 4. I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to get into it. It’s definitely my style of game.

I'm taking a short break from TotK to quickly do a run of Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. This version is based on the special edition so each chapter is only one year which drastically reduces the grind. The game has a lot of negatives but I'm enjoying all the additional features over the original.

It’ll be a busy weekend with a big cookout for my dad’s bday to prepare for, but I’ll squeeze in some Double Dragon Gaiden at least. It’s a worthy little beat ‘em up, despite favoring the NES games more than the arcades.

Switch plans mostly revolve around varied doses of Xenoblade trilogy (with high odds of Deck-provided X on the side), Atelier Marie, RF5 and Portia, Terarria and Tales of Symphonia, Isaac and Doom 2, quite possibly more DerQ, Fuga and MS2 plus some Layers of Fear 2, Borderlands 2, Atomicrops and/or Dying Light. PS4 may see more Rivals (cop career finished, racer one started), Bloodborne and/or Sakura Wars, the handhelds are facing the usual mainstays like Eternia and Endless Frontier, Deck should see more FF and JC action besides some ESO, Payback and Horizon (plus more JRPGs from Xillia and Nights of Azure to Ar Tonelico and Xenosaga) but there's also still RE2 (and then RE3) to tend to on the laptop. So basically the same on-brand madness when it comes to planning my weekend VG time.😅

Finally upgraded to a 1TB SD card, so the majority of my library is downloaded! I’m still playing TOTK, I’ve also been progressing through HUNTDOWN and HOLLOW KNIGHT.

Strangely I’ve essentially stopped playing Splatoon 3 since TOTK released, and with my upgraded card tackling my backlog is about to get real!

Comics!..gotta catch up on my X-Men and Wolverine runs as well as start the DC One Bad Day series.

Pikmin 3 co-op with my kids, Radiant Historia on the 3DS and Exoprimal on the xbox. Exoprimal has been my personal game of the summer. Not the best game made but the most fun.

Been juggling between Twilight Princess and Paper Mario 64. On chapter 5 of the latter so might wrap it up today if I buckle down on it.

Little of the first Ace Attorney as well but I've been kind of slacking on that one.

Earlier this week one of my buddies had me play Pikmin 1 for the first time and it was enough to have me intrigued. We're eventually going to play all 4 games together

As for the weekend, probably just more Fortnite missions before getting back to the projects I've been working on. Maybe a little Mario Kart 8 Deluxe if I'm feeling spicy.

More Tears methinks...195 hours in, got 96 shrines, got one more temple to do and currently cave hunting and trying to get pics for the stables. After months of avoiding them I took down two Gleeoks in quick succession (well I say quick, lol), one of which was the one on Hyrule Bridge which was bugging me from the start. I think this will be a shrine hunting weekend. I much prefer the shrines in this game.

I've picked up my first Atelier game recently (Ryza 1). I didn't really know anything about them but I thought I'd give it a go on a whim.
I was under the impression the game would be overly simple which in some ways it is- but the alchemy side of things appears a lot more in depth that I predicted which is cool. The characters are slowly growing on me and it's actually nice to play a game where the premise is just very ordinary (or low stakes maybe?)
We'll see how it goes but so far I find it quite relaxing- perfect for this week as works been a pain in the back (literally 😭).
My playthrough of TOTK continues. Still haven't done a story mission 😅 but I'm enjoying it. Not rush to finish this one.
The new Gameboy Zelda's looked intriguing. Might give those a go but after Tears is done.

I out of town for the weekend so I won’t have too much free time, but where I have any I’ll definitely be playing Ghost Trick. Grabbed it recently after hearing all the good things about it, finished chapter 8 last night, it’s fantastic. I went in with no major expectations and now that I’m roughly halfway through it’s probably my sleeper hit of the year already. Also a nice change of pace after having binged Persona all year so far which are VERY long games.

Super Mario Bros. 2 (16-bit version on Switch) is the main one. This is a game I've always sort of dismissed as "too different" and "not a real Mario", and as a result I never really felt inclined to beat it. But I decided I'd give it another chance, especially now that it's the only SMB game I have yet to beat. The physics can be janky sometimes and the actual gameplay is indeed very different from classic Mario, but it's actually an interesting experiment and some of the "Mario-ization" was actually executed very well. (And though it's no Lost Levels, it's pretty challenging, too! Especially the 8-bit version with limited continues...)

And maybe afterwards, I'll finally beat Yoshi's Island. I've always liked that one, so I couldn't tell you why I've been putting it off...

More Zelda for me! Also happy 3rd Anniversary to Xenoblade Chronicles 3! I dipped in a little to test the Pyra/Mythra amiibo functionality last week but that's it. Been itching do a second proper playthrough at some point, and will probably do it as part of an entire Xenoblade marathon.

I plan on finally completing celest tomorrow! It’s a really fun game, and the challenges are hard but fair. Plus I relate to Madeline a lot lol.

I'm in my twilight period for TOTK so I am now finally looking ahead for the next game, currently im at 200hrs looking to be done by 220hrs.

As for what else im playing, I recently tried out the Jusant Demo on Steam a few days ago, that was really fun considering its a super short demo so I can't wait for that new game.
I'm wanting to dive into something a little different after TOTK despite me having a bunch of Zelda-Like games im itching to play, so I'm thinking I might play Somerville, or maybe Disco Elysium, I understand that the latter is a much larger experience and more of a time commitment so I might hold off and go for the former but i'm undecided as of yet.
I Pi(c)k-ed up Pikmin 4 the other day (Excuse the hammed pun LOL) but I am holding off until September because thats when the physical for 1+2 releases and i'd like to play all 4 back to back but I like physical games.
I'm gonna start Deaths door, or Tunic very soon too, have a little 2D Zelda-Like to play after TOTK seems fitting for some reason.

Fire Emblem Engage has really started to hook me last weekend. I think I just got to chapter 12 and I'll likely be playing that this weekend. I stayed up late last night doing school work so I could have my weekend completely free

Currently on a Master Mode playthrough in Breath of the Wild. I got the Travel Medallion last night, along with the Korok and Majora’s masks. Freed all Divine Beasts except Vah Rudania, got the Master Sword, and all but… 3? towers found

I’m also gonna play some old Streets of Rage games via the Sega Genesis Classics Collection as I wait for my copy of Streets of Rage 4 to come in the mail. Maybe some Lethal League Blaze on the side. I also took my sister shopping yesterday, and I got a Switch protection case with the Divine Champions / Zelda on it. Looks pretty cool!

I finished the main story of Tears a few days ago, it was about time I finally got around to it. This game is so so good, it’s absolutely amazing! Right now I’m in the post game and trying to complete things which will take a while. I also played some Xenoblade 3 earlier this week since today is the very 1st anniversary for it, I can’t believe it’s already been that long

Elden Ring on Xbox and FFIV on switch. I absolutely love FFIV more than I thought I was going to.

Tales of Vesperia: REMASTERED – beated Zagi and escaped from the mansion. In total, ~3-4 hours in.
NieR:Automata The End of YoRHa Edition – Route B. Beated Amusement Park Rabbit for few times and leveled up to 99th level. Completed the Trial of Sand and Gambler's Colosseum sub-quests. Beated Yôsuke Matsuda and Ken'ichi Satô. That was funny. In total, ~65 hours in. That's all what I've played on this week. What's about gaming related things, though... I had read Edgar Allan Poe's storybook "The Raven", that includes his various masterpieces and something like a short biography of Poe. It was quite interesting, and I'm satisfied. How this can be gaming related, you'll ask(?)... Well, The Last Door duology(horror Point-and-Click games) are kinda inspired by Poe's poetry. So, that's why it is a gaming related thing. Well, have a nice gaming week, everyone. And do not forget to read good and interesting books as well.

The release of the new Double Dragon game made me want to play Neon again, the soundtrack is outstanding. Also the hight contrast colours look great on the OLED.

More SMT 5 for me! I thought I’d beat it by the time this weekend came but I still have more left. That’s a good thing though because I love it!

I'm probably not going to play a whole lot of anything this weekend, but when I do, it'll be some Pikmin 4.

Bayonetta 3 came to my surprise last weekend, but this is the first weekend I will truly get into it. Right now I'm dealing with these Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Wave 4 and 5 courses kicking my tail as I'm unpracticed in them. I don't want to, but I may have to play single player so I can learn their nuances better.

It’s mid-November and I feel like I must be getting close to the end of Persona 4 Golden - right? At least, I must be near where the original P4 ended, and getting into the additional Golden content. I think. I’ve not checked, because it’s hard enough not looking up every conversation to max out relationship points! Sigh… Great game.

I am returning to my abandoned playthroughs after TOTK. Finished GOW Ragnarok last week and now returned to Persona 5 on my switch as Felix did too. This one will take a long time. After that I will have my fresh Metroid Dread to play or return to my also a abandoned Ghost of Tsushima playthrough.
After my backlog is complete, it will be a matter of how good Armored Core turns out to be. Because it will either be that or buying RE4 and/or Advance Wars

@Shambo I hated that boss. My advice is to save the automatic shotgun one of the henchmen drops in this room until this stage of the fight. The attack pattern is actually very predictable, so just focus on dodging the attacks and snapping off a couple of shots between each set of attacks. You're almost there!

Expecting to Triangle Strategy this weekend. Maybe onto Chained Echoes?

I also got Three Hopes on deep discount, so some stupid fun there too.

I'm into Metroid Dread at the moment. And took quite a liking to it. 3 EMMIs to go.
I'm also playing Lyrica in between. The story mode is ridiculous, luckily all the annoying parts can be skipped. Nice selection of songs though.

Congrats on beating Nobody Saves the World! I just preordered that physical last weekend, as it looked like a game I’ll enjoy. If it was grindy and you need a refresh, I think I would steer you away from Crosscode, as it seems like quite a long game - I bogged down maybe 20% of the way through it. Not that it’s a bad game, it’s just that I couldn’t find the path through one quest and lost momentum.

I'm playing Crysis 2, having fun so far. Also a Ring Fit Adventure workout and maybe some Sin and Punishment on N64.

now activating the final 30/40 Lightroot in the game and getting all the 147 Bubbul Gems

Tears of the Kingdom! I have the Temples completed, the Master Sword in hand, the Depths completely lit up, and only about 20 shrines left…but I just can’t bring myself to finish the journey. What a beautiful game this is!

Playing Trinity Trigger before Sea of Stars finally drops.

I'll probably be playing Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. Via NSO, I intend to play Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario Advance.

I just got a PlayStation 5 this week, too, so I'll probably be mentioning what I'm playing on that over at Push Square from now on for consistency.

I will be finishing up the last cave in Pikmin 4. It was a great time, but it is time to move on to Tears Of The Kingdom.

I’ve been in a major One Piece mood lately, started watching the anime from the beginning (last time I binged it I only got as far as Skypia arc) so I’ve also been playing One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 in between watching the anime. I already had it as well as Unlimited World Red, but I saw that Pirate Warriors 4 deluxe edition was on sale for $14.99 down from $89.99 so I picked that up as well. Eventually I will go back to Zelda, but I know once I do it will absorb my life again so I’m trying to be careful when I decide to go back

Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
Rescued Lilina. Playing via Japanese NSO. Started couple of weeks ago. So far there's nothing special about it, story or gameplay-wise. It's your run-of-the-mill Fire Emblem game featuring everyone's favorite Smash character.

Crystal Defenders R2
For those unaware, this is a Final Fantasy tower defense game. I think I have 3 stages left but the game is kicking my butt. It's been fun but the stages are getting long so it takes a long time to get back to the wave that killed me, just to fail again.

Back to the Future: The Game
I've had this game for 10 years and I finally decided to try it out earlier this week. I got it from my brother for birthday/Christmas. I'd only seen the first movie when I got it. To this day, I haven't watched the third movie. I'm not really a movie guy.

Anyway, the game itself ain't bad but the Wii version is really janky. It has long load times, constant frame drops and sudden stutters that last 1-5 seconds. It's not unplayable but it's annoying. This game was originally released in chapters so I'll probably play the first chapter and move on, unless the game is able to convince me that it's worth playing despite its problems.

Finish beating Master Detective Archives: Rain Code. Now to finish beating Zelda: Tears of the kingdom and Metroid Prime.

Well, that was spectacular.

Well I made it through that week of early shifts. YIPPEE. 🎉 And I have lots of games played to show for it. Like Pikmin and more progress made in Trails To Azure. I did however drop a game and that’s Advance Wars. Mission 23 is just impossible even with a step by step guide and I’m just done making myself miserable. Anyways onto this week. For once I have a Saturday off so I’m finally gonna start Rain Code to celebrate and then late night finally get back to my darling FFXVI. The week ahead has mixed days of early and late so on early days I think I’ll finally start Ghost Trick and Xenoblade 3 Future Redeemed and on late days well that will be FFXVI nights. Also with the announcement of FFXIV Dawntrail I’m planning on finally getting back to and Conquering my fear of FFXIV: Endwalker in early August. Very hype for EVO next weekend and loving the FFXIV fan fest this weekend. Anime for the weekend is simple y’all already know we going Atelier Ryza, My Tiny Senpai, ZOM 100, Liar Liar and Ayaka. Music of the weekend is SF6 OST, RWBY V9 OST, Summer anime OPs and podcasts are Castle Superbeast and Into The Aether. Happy gaming and have a great weekend everyone,

More Tears of the Kingdom(wrapping up any shrines I missed and knocking out some remaining side quests before finishing the main story). Also more Pikmin 4.

We’re going Jackbox tonight, for the birthday of a pal in Syracuse. The rest of us are in Durham and Cramlington.

I just found a copy of Pikmin 4 at the store today, so I’ll definitely be playing that this weekend. I’ve never played Pikmin before, and I wasn’t very impressed by the demo, but I’m really liking it so far! Can’t wait to try more.

I’ll also be playing some Tears of the Kingdom here and there. I know I said that I was taking a break, but I guess it was a short break, because I’m feeling motivated to do more.

On top of those two games, I’m sure there will be multiplayer this weekend, including Among Us and Smash Ultimate.

Gravity Circuit for myself and Remnant 2 with my friend have a good weekend.

I'm RPGing like it's the 90's... Labyrinth of Zangetsu and Trinity Trigger. Reminds me of the good old days.

Trying to crawl through the later half of FF16. I think this game suffered from too many cooks in the kitchen and ended up being less than the sum of its parts because if it. Its a good game, but it lacks focus on the things it does well to try and please an already polarized audience.

La-mulana 2 on my Nintendo Switch OLED. Not sure if it's just the Switch version, but there are noticable frame rate issues.

Disney Illusion Island is my game of the weekend.

Tried playing Pokémon sword. Couldn’t get into it. Started playing Assassin’s creed 2 for the first time and enjoying it. Also played a little Metroid Fusion. But I’ve beat that game so many times and I have such a huge backlog. I need to just pick a game and stick with it 😂

I was so close to purchasing the new Illusions game but was instantly put off by the metroidvania tag, I’ve burnt out on metroidvanias lately and still have oodles to finish. I think Mickey & Minnie will find it’s way into my daughters Christmas stocking this year.

So I settled for Mr Run and Jump for some hardcore platforming goodness and I have 0 regrets. I’m only four levels in and the difficulty is already brutal. Lots of fun.

Chaos;Head Noah, one of the most expensive impulse buys I've ever given in to, after getting it at about launch because the steelbook looked pretty. I played it back then, but ended up dropping it pretty quickly because I forgot what was going on it after not playing for days. I'm actually kind of enjoying it, more than I thought I would. Might play RainCode, but don't really want to get yelled at by the owner of the console. Also been playing Danganronpa Ultra Despair Girls, in English this time, just to platinum it and know exactly what's going on at times. It's terrible, but I actually really like the gameplay.

Love seeing what everyone else is playing. Picked up Diablo IV myself. It's great bit feels a little too familiar. Just started, though

I'm on the last chapter of Danganronpa 2 so I'm hoping to finish it this weekend. I can't wait to see how all the mysteries wrap up! This game has been truly amazing, so I hope the ending ties everything up in a satisfying way.

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, Dead Island: Definitive Edition, If My Heart Had Wings: Flight Diary and Lucy: The Eternity She Wished For.. all on my laptop since I sold my Switch and game collection to focus all my gaming on said laptop.

I wound up grabbing a SNES classic earlier in the week (and didn't pay outrageous eBay pricing lol) so I have been playing games on that. I know most of the games are on NSO but I like the novelty of it

@SillyPlanet92 it took me about 15 hours. I usually need a little more time to finish games than other people though

I am very late to the party but I finished Demon's Souls on PlayStation 5, and I am now playing Hogwarts Legacy. Both great games in their own right.
