@NintendoByNature I will also add to what @Eel said. Having XP boost is nice too so if you are going through a Dungeon and after awhile you are trying to get your way through the Dungeon but keep getting random battles is makes I nice to toggle them off and that way you are losing out on much needed XP/Gold.

@Tasuki@eel good stuff. I have the Gil set at 1x since I wasn't sure if Gil would be as much of an issue as needing to grind later. I actually forgot about the enemy encounter during the dungeon and wish I had remembered. I was just trying to get all of the chests and not be bothered lol.
@NintendoByNature Yeah I believe if you press down on the right stick, click it, it will.turn off the encounters turning clicking down on it again turns them back on.

RPG's aren't my bag, but FFII back on the SNES in 1991 was nothing short of magical, and this is coming from somebody who basically just 'watched' somebody else(aka the best friend way back when) play it. Everything from it's amazing soundtrack, visuals, SFX, character designs and setting, it was truly something else and this is also coming from somebody who couldn't get on board with NES Final Fantasy. But ya, definitely another one of those big momentous SNES memories that always stuck with me over the years.
It's crazy how primitive these games look now, but back then they blew our little melons. Hard to imagine now I know considering we've come so far. I ended up getting the IV(II snes), V & VI(III snes) pixel remasters solely out of nostalgia, and V just out of curiosity since it was skipped back on SNES.
@WaveBoy I will admit I wasn't big on RPGs till the SNES. I got my free copy of Dragon Warrior from Nintendo Power played it a bit but just couldn't get into it. But then one day when I went over to a friend's house he was playing FF II. I watched him a bit and just fell in love with the game. Everything with that game was just epic, the music, the story, and of course the music. It was that point that I released that video games could be more then simple games like on the NES, they could tell huge stories akin to a book.
After that, of.course I played games like Final.Fantasy 3, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana (which is more of an adventure game) Earthbound etc. After that then RPGs just became one of my favorite genres.

Just beat the CPU boss. Unless you know exactly what to do, it's an annoying boss fight. I also forgot to save at the boss fight just before that so I restarted and had to do both boss fights again. I'm nearing the final hours of this lovely game.
The main ones you want are Asura, Leviathan and Bahamut. Of course if you are a completionist you are going to want all of them. However like Odin for example isn't a must have since there's only a small chance of his summon working.
Getting my rear kicked against the final boss. Not sure why it's so tough. I've grinded enough to get everyone over level 70, I have all the summons, pretty sure all the best armor and weapons. I've looked up multiple strategies and none work. I've been at it for hours, and it's quite frustrating. Any suggestions @Tasuki?
