I really hope there are a lot of things to do on the remake version.
I have played the PS2 version multiple times and it was really boring to spend the days without something interesting to do or visit.
Cross my finger if I can have same gender marriage because if it wasn't, I will play as a girl and looking for the dudes.
I wonder if all the regrowable crops will keep giving fruits like typical Bokumono games since the original Wonderful Life, every crops only can be harvested once, including the regrow crops.
I legit screamed when this popped up. So many memories of freshman year of undergrad playing this to unwind from classes. Nami! I'm back!

@Eel You always have the best reactions to things. Nice job digging out his Holy Jerkface Frollo.

Talking about witchcraft and holy jerkfaces does makes me wonder if they’ll perhaps try to retrofit the Witch Princess and the Harvest Goddess into this remake.
@Eel What, the talking plant wasn't enough supernatural action for you?

Looks like they decided to updated the designs and names for some of the characters. Cody and Marlin (now Matthew) got some pretty big overhauls. Looks like it's possible to marry Cody now too.
@Eel I'm assuming that's Cody, unless they added a new character. He has the same color scheme in his clothes and hair too, so it seems likely. I'll miss his old design though, felt way more unique.
@Eel
The biggest question, will this version have a lot of different places to visit since the original and PS2 version was so empty with only 2 places you can buy something (Vesta Farm for seedlings and fertilizer, drinks for the bar)?
Also, will Tartan return and we can combine the crops into 2nd combination and 3rd combination ?
I like to plant a lot of Dhibe plants (Turnip + Strawberry) in PS2 version for money maker by making a lot of Dhibe Cake (Dhibe + Egg + Milk) and sold to Van with some haggle to raise the selling price.
I do wonder how frazzled Daryl is gonna look now. And which version of Nami will be used. Not that it really matters, I am marrying her no matter what. I do hope they keep the option to wish for a daughter. That would prompt 2 play throughs for me.

Interesting that this game got a reboot. To me it was both imaginative and boring in equal measure, but perhaps a reboot / remaster would introduce new elements and make the game better. As it stood, it always felt unfinished to me.

I played the original GC version. I also got the girl version at some point, but gifted to a niece before I could play it myself.
The months have few days, but the days are long. When it comes to farming, each day is basically two days.
I remember the best way to make money in that version was investing on fruit trees and using the seed maker on the fruit. Each seed would sell back for considerably more money than anything else you could produce. And you could mutate fruit together to create new more expensive fruit trees as well. I don’t quite remember the names of the mutations though, they were a bit random.
I never got to see the ending of the game, but I played long enough to see the kid grow up a bit. The profession they pick is based on their natural interests, who your friends are, and what things you do. So you can influence them if you want them to do anything in particular.
I would usually marry Celia. Had I had the option to, I would have married Flora. Had I played the girl version, I would’ve probably married Marlin.
The DS game made a few more villagers available for marriage, and it seems this new remake will shake things up a bit as well.
I wonder if they’ll go and “beautify” all the characters that looked a bit cartoonier, like they've done with Cody (and Murrey, kinda). The DS game was somewhat unique in how it had marriage candidates that weren’t conventionally attractive young people. So it would be maybe a bit sad to see them go and make everyone look like anime protagonists.
